The director of a childcare center in Oelwein has been fired, according to KWWL. Little Husky Learning Center Childcare Board Chairperson, Josh Ehn confirmed that Director Jessica Bratten was fired after she allegedly embezzled $10,000 over the course of a year. The evidence in the case has now been turned over to the Oelwein Police Department and charges are pending. During that investigation payroll taxes went unpaid. The center says they are working to pay those now. Shelly Vawter has now been appointed the new director of the facility.
