An Oelwein woman who was found to have methamphetamine in her system when she crashed her car, killing her nine year old son is asking for a lower bond, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 36 year old Robyn Reaves was charged on July 2nd with child endangerment resulting in death, homicide by vehicle under the influence, child endangerment resulting in serious injury and serious injury by vehicle. Bond was set at $250,000. Authorities say Reaves was driving a Dodge Charger after midnight on July 19th last year when she crashed into a culvert outside Jesup. The crash killed Ace Reaves and injured six year old Ryker Reaves. Tests later revealed Robyn Reaves had amphetamine and methamphetamine in her system. The remnants of a joint were also found in the vehicle. Data from the airbag control module found Reaves was traveling at a high rate of speed and never attempted to brake. Reaves also did not have insurance at the time.
