A Fairbank man and former Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputy has been sentenced after accepting a plea deal in a Bribery case, according to KCRG. 37 year old Klint Bentley stopped a vehicle in rural Buchanan County on February 4th of 2022. He asked the female driver to show him her breasts and implied that he would withhold issuing the citation if she did so. The woman was able to record the interaction. Bentley continued to solicit photos from the woman via text message after the traffic stop. He was fired on February 8th. He was originally charged with Extortion, Non-Felonious Misconduct in Office, and Accepting a Bribe but took a plea deal that dropped the Extortion and Bribery charges. Bentley was sentenced to 350 days in prison but that was suspended to just 15 days. He will also serve 1-2 years of supervised probation.
