There are currently 28 positive cases of the coronavirus within the Charles City School district with 119 in quarantine, according to KWWL. Of the 28 positive cases 22 are directly associated with the JV football team. The high school is considering alternatives to help with social distancing, such as moving some classes to larger spaces. The school district has been working directed with the Floyd County Health Department to deal with the positive cases. Charles City’s game against Western Dubuque scheduled for Friday night has been cancelled as was last week’s game against Union.
