Outbreak at NewAldaya

NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls has announced a COVID-19 outbreak at their facility, according to KWWL. Three residents had tested positive for the virus as of Saturday. Two of those residents were being treated in a designated COVID area. Six staff members also tested positive. They have been told to isolate at home. Residents who are showing symptoms are being placed in isolation for 10 days and will be tested. Residents who have tested positive are being cared for by separate staff members. NewAldaya expects to be able to test all residents and staff this week.
