Parkersburg Police Chief Hit with Charge

The Parkersburg Police Chief has been charged with selling alcohol at a bar after hours, according to KCRG. On February 11th a Butler County Sheriff’s Deputy was conducting a bar and alcohol compliance check at Maddogs Sports Bar in Parkersburg. The deputy found multiple people drinking alcohol inside and outside of the bar at 2:09 a.m. David Jara, who is also the Parkersburg Police Chief, was working behind the bar at the time. He was charged with Selling or Dispensing Alcohol or Beer After Hours. In Iowa alcohol can only be sold between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
