The University of Northern Iowa has decided to hold a virtual commencement ceremony, but many in the campus community have signed a petition to hold the commencement ceremony in person, according to KWWL. One thing the group points to is that classes and sporting events are being held in person and they believe that points to the safety of holding commencement in person. 1,800 people have signed the petition to this point.
