The City of Waverly is beginning the 1st phase of the South Riverside Park Improvement Project with the demolition of an old storage bin near the Waverly Farmer’s Market on 2nd Ave. While the demolition was budgeted for $100,000 according to Mayor Dean Soash, the final bid was approved for only $17,600.
Leisure Services director Tab Ray tells us why the cost was so low:
The removal of the storage building is scheduled for after next Monday, Sept 24th.
