A Davenport man has taken a plea deal after killing a Clear Lake man in Cedar Falls in 2022, according to KWWL. 32 year old Beau Ekstrom admitted to shooting Arthur Lang to death in Cedar Falls’ College Hill neighborhood. Ekstrom was initially charged with first degree Murder. As part of the plea deal he instead pleaded guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter as a Habitual Offender, Possession of a Firearm as a Felon, and Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon. Ekstrom was sentenced to 40 years in prison and must pay $150,000 to Lang’s family in restitution.
