Waterloo Police arrested a man after a short chase on Monday, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police attempted to pull over a Ford Fusion in the area of South and West First Streets shortly before 10:00 p.m. Monday. The vehicle, however, took off going the wrong way down a one way street before coming to a stop. A search of the vehicle found marijuana and methamphetamine. 39 year old Paul McAhren was charged with Eluding and Driving While Barred. He also had a warrant out for his arrest for Assault Causing Bodily Injury and first degree Harassment in connection to an incident back on May 11th where he allegedly assaulted a woman and threatened her.
