Waterloo Police are investigating after a school security guard brought a gun to a middle school dance, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The security guard, who has not been named, was working an after-school dance at George Washington Carver Academy on Thursday. Someone spotted the gun in the the man’s holster and alerted school officials, who then called police. The man also works other security guard jobs outside of the school. He has not been charged in this case but police say the investigation is ongoing.
