Sunday at 11:45 p.m. Cedar Falls Officers observed an assault in the 2500 blk of Olive Street. After making contact with the suspect 20-year old Daniel Edward Morice, 20 of Cedar Falls Morice attempted to run from officers while being questioned. As officers were attempting to subdue Morice, he resisted and in the process a Cedar Falls Police Officer was injured and was transported by ambulance to Allen Hospital in Waterloo. The officer was later released from Allen with a knee injury.
Daniel Edward Morice is charged with interference with official acts causing serious injury,an aggravated misdemeanor. Possession of a fictitious license, a serious misdemeanor. Disorderly Conduct, Interference with Official Acts and Public Intoxication, all simple misdemeanors. He was transported to the Black Hawk County Jail.
