Waterloo Police have taken a man into custody after a standoff Wednesday evening, according to KWWL. The suspect allegedly began shooting from his apartment in a senior living complex near 4th and Iowa Streets. Police were able to get into contact with the man and begin negotiations, eventually leading to the man’s surrender. No injuries have been reported to this point. The shooting Waterloo Schools to divert buses away from the Boys and Girls Club on Lime Street. East High students who walk to and from that area were also held at the school until they could be picked up.
