The Waverly Police Department is alerting the public to possible delays along 4th Street SW Wednesday afternoon as a building is moved into town. Goodwin House Moving will be moving a building from Black Hawk County to the open lot next to Grace Baptist Church. This building will house the new Waverly Christian School. The move will begin Wednesday morning at 7:00 but will not likely enter Waverly until around 4:30 p.m. Once they do reach town they plan to zig zag between traffic lights in an effort to not hit the lights. The police department says that between 3:30 and 5:30 northbound traffic will be slowed as they follow the building and southbound traffic will be required to stop as the building crosses medians to avoid traffic lights.
