The fabrication division of GMT in Waverly has been acquired by a Missouri company. Van-Am Tool and Engineering announced the move saying that the acquisition was driven by increased production demand and large format fabrication and machining. Van-Am will use the Waverly location to focus on large, heavy fabrications for the defense and industrial sectors. The Waverly location will officially be known as Van-Am Defense Systems. Van-Am, out of St. Joseph, Missouri, has been around since 1981.
