On 03/31/24 the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 218 for a speeding violation. A probable cause search was conducted where approximately one pound of methamphetamine was located. Steven Lorentz, 62, of Winter Haven, Florida was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a class B felony, drug tax stamp violation class D felony, two counts of unlawful possession of prescription drugs, a serious misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple Misdemeanor.
Lorentz is being held in the Bremer County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
