The body of a missing four year old boy from Fairbank was found Friday night, according to KWWL. The child was last seen around 3:45 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of 145th Street. The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office began a search of houses, fields, ditches and ponds around 5:00 p.m. Shortly before midnight the child’s body was found in a nearby pond. It is unclear what happened but authorities do not believe foul play is involved. The boy’s body has been sent to the Iowa State Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
