An Independence man has been arrested after his four year old son ate a chocolate bar containing THC, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 26 year old Jack Klein reported finding the child passed out on the couch on November 19th and then finding the empty wrapper for the chocolate bar in the kitchen. The child was taken to the Buchanan County Health Center before being transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Police executed a search warrant on the home. They found 10 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, three grams of marijuana, a broken bong and other drug-related items. Klein has been charged with Child Endangerment with Bodily Injury, Possession of Psilocybin with Intent to Distribute, Violation of the Drug Tax Stamp Act and Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
