Governor Kim Reynolds has announced that her previously planned press conference for today has been postponed to Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. The change comes out of respect for George Floyd, whose funeral is set to take place at the same time. Reynolds announced a couple weeks ago that she would cut down on her coronavirus press conferences from every week day to Tuesdays and Thursdays. Reynolds has also held press conferences to discuss the death of George Floyd and the ensuing protests across the globe, including in Iowa. Some of those protests have turned violent. Bail for the policeman who knelt on Floyd’s neck has been set at $1 million.
