Prison for Deadly Waterloo Heroin

A Waterloo woman has been sentenced to prison time for providing her cousin fentanyl laced heroin which killed her, according to KCRG. 39 year old Marvita Causey was sentenced to 37 months in prison after pleading guilty to distribution of controlled substances. She admitted to giving her cousin and another woman what she thought was heroin. A lab later found that the heroin contained fentanyl. Once her prison sentence is done, Causey will serve three years of supervised release. There is not parole in the federal system.
