A Charles City man has been sentenced to probation after entering an Alford Plea to child sex abuse charges, according to KIMT. 59 year old Ronald Stewart was accused of having sexual contact with an underage victim multiple times last year. He entered the Alford Plea to one count of third degree Sexual Abuse, which means he does not admit guilt but concedes there is enough evidence to convict him. He has been sentenced to five years of supervised probation and must register as a sex offender. He has also been ordered to pay a fine of $1,375.
