The Butler County Conservation Board will be offering a public firewood cutting day on Saturday. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The hand cutting area will be near the nature center while an area for large logs will be held at the Butler County Conservation Board shop. All participants will need to sign a waiver before cutting. Tractors and skid loaders will not be allowed and only downed trees may be cut. Those participating must check in with staff prior to entering the park and all cutting must be complete by noon with all loading finished by 1pm.
