A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly punching a woman and stealing her money in a puppy sale gone wrong, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The woman contacted 25 year old Houston Simmons III after seeing his ad on Craigslist asking for $400 for his puppy. The two met around 10 Saturday night inside his Chevy Silverado. The woman noticed the puppy was injured and asked for a discount. Simmons responded by grabbing the woman by the throat, punching her in the face, and taking her money and her phone. The woman fled the truck and alerted police. Simmons was found a short time later at a liquor store. He was charged with one count of Second Degree Robbery. Simmons was already awaiting trial for drug and firearm charges after being found with a 9mm pistol, marijuana, and a large amount of cash in a strip club parking lot.
