Sunrise Catering in Readlyn is among many restaurants and similar businesses to be cited for violations after inspections across the state, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Sunrise Catering was issued 13 violations for bagged shredded cheese with mold on it, onions sitting on the floor of a walk in cooler, a leaking pipe had been worked on over a dry food storage area resulting in dust and insulation debris on the food, food stored in the walk in cooler had been held beyond 24 hours and had no date markings, food drawers had old food inside them, there was a fuzzy build up on the fan covers, drawer handles were soiled, the dishwasher showed only a faint sign of sanitizing chemicals, and non-food-grade WD-40 was being used to lubricate a meat slicer.
