Iowa’s Secretary of State’s Office has announced that Iowa has broken the record for new business filings for the third straight year in a row. According to a news release, there were 21,665 new businesses created in the 2017 fiscal year passing the 20,300 filings in 2016.

Last June Secretary Pate launched a new Fast Track Filing system aimed at hastening the business registration process with an average processing time less than five minutes during regular business hours.
