Reporting Delays Slow Caucus Results

Issues with the phone app the Democratic Party hoped to use to report caucus results followed by congested phone lines has led to no official results to this point. NPR reported nearly a month ago about concerns about the app and its security as well as its ability to handle the amount of traffic expected on caucus night. Many sites reported issues with the app immediately. The backed up phone lines reportedly left people on hold for hours. The lack of results has led to most candidates claiming victory in the state. The Bernie Sanders campaign has released their own internal numbers that show him picking up the most delegates with just over 29%. Pete Buttigieg came in second with nearly 25%. Followed by Elizabeth Warren getting just over 21%, Joe Biden with a little over 12% and Amy Klobuchar picking up 11%. Those numbers, however, are not official at this time.
