Several roads in Denver will be patched beginning Monday before being seal coated. All vehicles and trailers need to be removed from the affected roads so that the workers can work quickly and have access to the entire width of the road. The seal will extend the life of the road by providing increased skid resistance, less resurfacing required, reducing sound levels by up to 50%, and preventing water penetration. The city says the seal coating is cheaper than pavement overlays. You can find more information and a list of affected roads on City of Denver, Iowa Facebook page.
