MercyOne officials say the project to replace the former Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls with a new facility is on pause, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Ryan Meyer, Chief Operating Officer for MercyOne Northeast Iowa, says the project remains a top priority but the project has been paused. The company says that the delay is the product of funds being allocated elsewhere during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ownership changes and significant internal work related to the integration of operations also contributed to the delay. The new facility is expected to sit on 50 acres on the northeast corner of Hudson and Greenhill Roads.
