School Back in Session After Snapchat Threat

Waterloo Schools are back in session today after a threat against them cancelled classes Wednesday. Police were able to determine that the threat was not credible yesterday. After an investigation an 11 year old boy was charged with threats and intimidation. The threat was posted on the social media outlet Snapchat. Photos from that snap continued to make the rounds on social media last night prompting a response from Waterloo Schools on their Facebook page. That response made it clear that screenshots were the same that police were aware of and investigated and not a new threat being made. They also asked that they stop being re-shared.
