The person who allegedly set the fire at a senior living facility in Waterloo has now been identified, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 33 year old Kiya Marovec was arrested yesterday and charged with first degree Arson. Investigators say Marovec set her mattress on fire on October 24th at the Camelot Apartments. A witness told police that they saw Marovec standing alone in the hallway with thick smoke coming from the open door of her apartment. Another says Marovec told them that she had set the mattress on fire when she mixed up fantasy and reality. Marovec and another person were taken to the hospital for treatment of possible smoke inhalation. It is unclear how the 33 year old Marovec had an apartment at a senior living facility.
