The man who killed Vincent Hemenway in Waterloo in 2020 has been sentenced, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 34 year old Robert Williams was charged with first degree Murder, a charge that carries a life sentence, however he found guilty by a jury of the lesser charge of Voluntary Manslaughter. Williams has now been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison. Williams and another man wore masks and gloves as they entered a garage where Hemenway and three friends were working on a motorcycle in the middle of the night. One of the masked men asked for a lighter and then pulled out a gun and shot Hemenway to death before he could reach his own gun.
