Next week is Severe Weather Awareness Week. The Bremer County Emergency Management Agency, Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, National Weather Service, and Iowa Emergency Management Association have teamed up to promote and highlight the importance of being aware of prepared for different types of severe weather. On Monday, March 27th severe thunderstorms will be the focus, on Tuesday the 28th it will be weather warnings, on Wednesday the 29th tornadoes will be the focus, Thursday the 29th will focus on family preparedness, and Friday will be flash floods. The annual statewide tornado drill will take place on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
