A sex offender has been arrested after he stole a car, crashed it, and then ransacked a convenience store, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. A 911 call was received around 6:15 a.m. Thursday that reported that a man, later identified as 36 year old Roscoe Jordan, had jumped into the caller’s vehicle as they were unloading it and drove away towards the Snack Shack. Then a second 911 call came in from the Snack Shack saying a vehicle had just crashed into some woods nearby and the driver was in the store destroying the merchandise. Jordan allegedly yelled at the female clerk before breaking seven glass pipes, tossing 17 sausage patties into the garbage, and dumping a bottle of water on the ground. Jordan then told the clerk to get on her knees but she ran way instead. Jordan has been charged with first degree Theft, Criminal Mischief, and Disorderly Conduct.
