Sex Offender Tampered with a Witness

A Cedar Falls man convicted in July of sexually abusing a child in Mason City has now been convicted of tampering with a witness in the case, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 42 year old Isaia Weber was originally charged with four counts of second degree Sexual Abuse after being accused of having sexual contact with a child under the age of 12. As part of a plea deal two of the four counts were dismissed and the other two were reduced to Lascivious Acts with a Child. He has also now pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of third degree Harassment. His wife, 35 year old Lakeshia Weber, of Cedar Falls, and his mother, 63 year old Dalia Weber, of Charles City, were also charged in the case after they allegedly offered money and other means to persuade the victim to withdraw the charges. They will all be sentenced on March 17th.
