Shell Rock Elementary has been selected by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for the IRA Trees for Schools Grant. The campus and playground will soon receive several brand new trees. The school is working with Tiedt Nursery to choose the best spots to add more shade and beauty to their outdoor space. Experts from the DNR will spend a full day with students, teaching them how to plant and care for trees.
