Waverly Mayor Mark Anderson has signed a proclamation declaring January as Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. The proclamation encourages all citizens to become more informed on this growing problem, to be vigilant and report suspicious activity, and work towards solutions to end trafficking in all of its forms. Those who see something that they believe does not look right are encouraged to call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 888-373-7888.
