The City of Waverly is reminding its businesses to clear snow around their commercial garbage and cardboard dumpsters. They ask business owners to ensure that there is clearance on all sides of the dumpster and that there is a clear path to the dumpster. They say if the snow is not removed they cannot empty the dumpsters. Removing snow and creating clear pathways also allows the garbage removal to stay on schedule.
The City of Janesville is asking its citizens to shovel a clear path to their meters or touch pad. Meter readers began reading meters yesterday and will continue that job today and tomorrow. Clear paths allow them to efficiently get to the meters, collect their data, and move along.
