Sports Bills That Would Affect W-SR & 8th Graders
A bill to create a committee to handle school athletic conference realignment passed both the House and Senate with only one nay vote. Pirates Beat Sailors
Tuesday night on Y99.3 the Hudson boys beat Columbus 5-0 in high school soccer. The Pirates got two goal from Jackson Colsch and a goal each from Anderson Yoder, Andrew Langham and Oswaldo Gomez. In the girls game Hudson skunked Columbus 10-0.

Women’s Final Four is Set
The Women’s Final Four is set. On Friday on ESPN 1-seeds Texas and South Carolina will play at 6:00 then at 8:00 2-seed UConn and 1-seed UCLA will battle.
Softball & Tennis Win
Sunday in college softball Wartburg swept DePauw. The Knights took Game 1 4-3 as Reagan Hassel had a walk-off triple and Wartburg won Game 2 6-4 in 8 innings. Sunday in men’s tennis Wartburg beat Dubuque 6-1.

Girls Place 4th at Clear Lake
Thursday at the indoor meet at Clear Lake the Waverly-Shell Rock girls finished in 4th place. The Go-Hawks won the shuttle hurdle relay and set a meet record in the process. Also Go-Hawk Cat Wedeking won the 200 meter dash with a personal record.
Knights Get Dramatic Sweep
Thursday in Waverly the Wartburg softball team swept UW-La Crosse. The Knights took both games by a score of 3-2 and Game 2 was won with an extra innings walk-off single.
