Spring Flooding Forecast

In their first of three outlooks, the National Weather Service says Spring flooding will be near to below normal this year. They say any flooding will be due to Spring precipitation rather than Fall or Winter conditions. The amount of moisture before the ground froze was normal to below normal. The amount of snow from December 1st to now has been normal for this area. Temperatures have been normal to slightly below normal. All of that adds up to a normal threat of flooding. The NWS will reassess on February 24th and again on March 10th.
