Stabbing and Phone Stealing Leads to Arrest

A Waterloo man has been arrested for stabbing an acquaintance and stealing their phone, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 29 year old Suad Kvakic allegedly stabbed an unnamed man from Charles City in the leg in the 2000 block of College Street at around 2:00 Wednesday morning. Kvakic then took the man’s phone. The victim asked for his phone back to call for help but Kvakic refused. He did however drive the man to a Casey’s where he sought help. A tourniquet was used to stop the bleeding. Doctors allegedly told the victim he would have bled to death in 30 minutes if the tourniquet had not been applied. Kvakic has been charged with first degree Robbery, Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, False Imprisonment, and Obstructing Emergency Communication.
