State-Wide Laborshed Study

The City of Waverly will be participating in a state-wide laborshed study conducted through Iowa Workforce Development and Iowa Economic Development Authority. This study aims to gather geographic information of the area’s workforce to see what areas are directly contributing to the local workforce.

Connie Tolan, the Economic Development Specialist for Waverly, summarizes how the collected information will be used:

The study will be conducted through a telephone survey which originates in Cedar Rapids. Residents may receive a text message alerting them to the upcoming phone call. The survey will not require personal identifiable information such as name, social security number, or date-of-birth.
