A Waterloo man was arrested after leading police on a chase in a stolen pickup on Sunday afternoon, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. A State Trooper spotted a Chevrolet pickup that had been reported stolen in the area of East Fourth and Charles Streets around 4:20pm. When the trooper attempted to pull the truck over it took off, running red lights and stop signs along the way. Eventually the truck rear ended a Honda Odyssey allowing police to take the driver into custody. 32 year old Shawn Dean was charged with Eluding, Reckless Driving, and numerous traffic violations. Officers also found marijuana, prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia in the truck. Dean was also wanted on a parole violation at the time of the chase.
