On 12/09/2025 the Waverly Police Department received information of a possible stolen vehicle at the Waverly-Shell Rock High School parking lot. Waverly Officers were able to locate the vehicle and confirmed the vehicle was entered stolen from the Carroll Police Department on 12/5/2025. As the Waverly Officers were monitoring the vehicle, they observed a male subject walk towards the vehicle. The subject removed a set of keys from his pocket and pressed a fob causing the lights of the stolen vehicle to flash. When the subject saw a Waverly Police Officer, he turned and ran. After a short foot pursuit and search, the subject was located.Upon further investigation, Tyson L. Jackson (18) of Carroll, IA was arrested for 2nd Degree Theft (Class D Felony). Jackson was transported to the Bremer County Jail where he was booked and held to see the duty magistrate.***an arrest without conviction is not an indication of guilt***
