A Waterloo East High School student has been expelled after possessing a gun on school grounds, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The Board of Education voted 4-1 to expel the student after a three hour closed session. Very few details have been released regarding the incident other than to say the student had the firearm on school grounds and eluded police. The expulsion will last for one calendar year. The student will be allowed back in January of 2027.
