Charles City School Superintendent, Dr. Anne Lundquist, has been placed on paid administrative leave, according to KCHA. An email to staff on Friday noted that an investigation had been launched into behavior by Lundquist that raised questions about her fitness for duty and ability to serve as an employee in the school district. The district’s attorney is directing the investigation. The district will also receive a temporary superintendent from the Central Rivers AEA while Lundquist is on leave. Lundquist took over on an interim basis after Mike Fisher left for a position in Oskaloosa. Fisher’s time in Charles City was not without controversy as he was reprimanded by the Board of Educational Examiners for over-reporting enrollment in the district. Fisher had to complete two ethics training courses and his license was suspended for six months.
