Clarksville pastor and former mayor Val Swinton posted on his Facebook page Monday afternoon that he will be going home from the hospital Wednesday. Swinton was hospitalized after contracting COVID-19. At times during his battle the likelihood that he would make it out of the hospital seemed slim as he relied upon a ventilator. After a couple ups and downs Swinton started to stabilize as he began to recover. He was moved out of the ICU a few days ago and now has seemingly beaten COVID-19.
