An 18 year old in Waterloo accidentally shot himself early Wednesday morning, according to KWWL. Police say that a group of teenagers had gathered on a bike trail near North Hackett Road. The 18 year old attempted to put his gun away when he accidentally fired the gun, hitting himself in the leg. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries not thought to be life threatening. His name has not been released.
