In an update to a story from Monday, an 18 year old who suffered a gunshot wound on Christmas Eve accidentally shot himself, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police were called to a trailer park off of Independence Avenue around 2pm on Saturday on reports of shots being fired. When they arrived they found that the teen had a gunshot wound to his lower back. An investigation discovered that the wound was self inflicted. The injuries the teen suffered are not thought to be life threatening.
