A Waterloo teen has entered Alford pleas to three charges relating to a botched robbery in August, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Deondre Seals entered the pleas to second degree Robbery, Intimidation with a Weapon, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He was 17 on August 1st when he, 28 year old Aundaris Reed, 17 year old Eric Hayes Jr., and others attempted to rob two people selling guns. Gunfire broke out and Reed was struck in the head by a bullet. He was taken to a hospital in Iowa City but disappeared from there and remains at large at this time. Hayes is scheduled to go to trial in January. 30 year old Larry Phillips was accused of being the getaway driver for the robbers but he was acquitted of all charges in October. Seals will be sentenced at a later date.
