Teen Facing Attempted Murder Charge Escapes

A Waterloo teen facing an Attempted Murder charge among other charges has escaped custody. 17 year old Simon Agar was being transported back to the Northern Iowa Juvenile Detention Center after court proceedings in Des Moines on Monday when he escaped. The escape happened near the intersection of Broadway Street and Wagner Road in Waterloo. Agar is described as a Black male standing 5’5” tall and weighing 125 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue jumpsuit, blue sweatshirt, and orange sandals. In addition to the Attempted Murder charge he has also been charged with Going Armed with Intent, Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, Conspiracy to Commit a Forcible Felony, and now has a warrant for Escape.
